The most accurate way to measure your ring size is to have your finger measured by a jeweller, however if you're unable to visit a jeweller, there are a couple of ways you can find an approximate measurement at home.
One way you can find your ring size is by measuring a well fitting ring you already own, with a ruler. To do this you will need to follow these simple steps:
1. Measure across the middle of your fitting ring with a ruler
2. Make a note of the internal diameter in MM
2. Match it against the 'inside diameter' column, on the chart below.

Another way you can measure your ring size at home (without an already fitting ring) is with a piece of string. To do this you will need to do the following:

1. Wrap a piece of paper or non-stretch string around your finger, close to the knuckle.
2. Place it next to a ruler and make a note of the length.
3. Match it against the approximate 'inside circumference' column, on the chart below
3. This is your rough size in mm.

Another factor to keep in mind when measuring your ring size is the width of the ring band you hope to wear. Generally, the wider the band, the tighter the fit will feel, even though the ring itself has the same inner diameter. It is best to take your ring measurement with a ring sizer close to the width of your final ring, or contact your jeweller for more guidance when purchasing a ring with a wider band.
